FAMILY SESSION

I will capture everyone smiling at the same time but my favorite images tend to be more organic and candid. I guide you through the entire session with poses that show your natural connection as a family while you snuggle together, maybe play in a creek or chase those babies in a field. This session is to help freeze that moment in time and look back for years to come.

LOCATIONS

My entire studio is white with windows for a clean, airy feel. I have a reclaimed barnwood backdrop and also a comfy, neutral bed surrounded by pampas grass and a brick wall, In my yard is a mini greenhouse, perfect size for kiddos and babies, Also a field walking distance from the studio that I often use during milestone or family sessions. If scheduled in advance, I can do on location if you have land of your own or I have places to choose from including a creek, lake, and an open field.  Depending on the season, I sometimes have holiday setups available (pumpkins for fall, Pjs for christmas) and yearly Christmas Tree Farm sessions in Lexington, KY.

OUTFITS

I have a fully stocked client closet for babies 3 months up to6T (with a few larger sizes too) and always adding more. For mamas, I have dresses from small to XXL in a variety of styles and colors. Most of the time, all I recommend purchasing is a simple outfit for dad if he plans to be in the photos. A plain henley (Old Navy!) and some khakis jeans looks nice but subtle. You can never go wrong with neutrals. White, cream, taupe, brown, grey and black always look great and so classic. Navy, mustard, maroon, burgundy, dark and sage green- all those colors are nice too. Pick 1-2 colors and coordinate.For when spring rolls around, I know lots of people want to do brighter and more vivid colors. That is okay as long as we stay away from anything neon (bright greens, yellows, coral, etc.) those all cause color casts under the face and people close to you. Instead, maybe try doing pastels like pale yellow, pastel green,  light pink, and lavender.
